Support for Your Journey

Let's be honest - it's not easy to find queer-friendly, non-religious therapy in southwest Ohio! If this is what you're looking for, reach out and let's see if we may be a good fit. Self-pay only. My individual roster is FULL as of March 2025, but please email me about group opportunities. I'm also always happy to provide referrals and resources!

About

About your therapist

Oak & Willow Counseling is owned by Ria Megnin (she/they), a licensed independent social worker based in Dayton, Ohio, with backgrounds in journalism, education, and social advocacy. Sessions with Ria involve guided discussion, education, skill-building, and at-home activities. The goal is building a secure foundation for exploring past and present harms, challenging shame-based histories, and healing relationships with yourself and others. We go at your pace and center your intersectional identity (gender, race, health, faith, sexuality, career, family, etc.) and needs while working toward your long-term goals. Referrals are always available to appropriate providers for more specialized care as needed. Ria has lived experience in queerness, polyamory, generational and relationship trauma, D&D geekery, multiple religious and spiritual traditions, and progressive social justice work (especially reproductive rights, fair voting districts, queer activism, and addressing racism). Oak & Willow Counseling's home is The Well: A Center For Wellness, 529 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering.
